The male Hollywood wax involves the removal of all the hair from the pubic area, penis, scrotum, lower back, buttocks and anus.

What is Brazilian waxing?

The male Brazilian wax (also known as back, sac and crack, boyzilian) involves the removal of all hair from the lower back, penis, scrotum, buttocks, anal and some hair from the pubic areas. However, you can ask for as little or as much as you want removed and the price will be adjusted accordingly.

Will it hurt?

Pauline is a highly skilled waxing specialist and her aim is always to remove hair as painlessly as possible. We wouldn’t be honest if we said that you don’t feel some discomfort but most clients agree that it’s not as bad as they first anticipated and with regular waxing treatments the discomfort reduces over time.

How long does Brazilian or Hollywood waxing take?

We do not allocate a time limit for this waxing as each client we see has individual needs, you may have denser hairs or have a low pain threshold. We always work as quickly as possible but we pride ourselves on being very thorough and strive to make it as painless as possible. As a rule, it may take up to an hour.

How will it feel afterwards?

Some soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions especially if it’s your first wax. These symptoms should subside over 24-48 hours. The chest, tummy or back are the areas that commonly break-out after waxing, so using the correct home care and having regular waxing treatments usually results in less reactions.

What type of wax do you use?

We use Australian Bodycare Tea-tree creme wax, a high quality strip wax for chest, arms, legs and back waxing, which can be used for all skin types. Tea-tree also has amazing antiseptic properties to promote skin healing. For sensitive skin and delicate / intimate areas we use top quality non-strip cristalline (hypoallergenic) and euroblonde hot wax by Perron Rigot imported from France.

What is the required length for hair removal?

The hairs need to be at least a ¼” or 1 cm in length for effective hair removal. If you have shaved, please allow at least

3 - weeks for re-growth prior to waxing.

How often should I return for waxing treatments?

For affective smooth results, the treated area(s) will require waxing, every 4 weeks for the first few sessions. Most people start to notice a small amount of re-growth after a week or so, but it may take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results. Thereafter, every 4 - 6 weeks is recommended. Regular treatments encourages finer hair and slows the growth cycle, resulting in longer periods before returning for your next treatment. Avoid shaving the area between your appointments as this messes with the natural growth cycles and you'll be left with stubble.

What should I do prior to my appointment?

Gently exfoliate the body or area to be waxed 3 days prior to your appointment to remove any dead skin cells and lift the hairs. Don’t forget to moisturise to soften the skin. Wear loose fitting clothes. If you intend to exercise please do this before you arrive and shower so you’re squeaky clean as any sporty activity is not recommended after waxing. Wet wipes are provided for you if needed.

What happens if I get aroused?

Don’t worry, we get asked this all the time. Our aim is to make you feel comfortable and I am aware that some clients may experience physical arousal due to the manipulation of their genitals, however, this is temporary.

Please note: This does not mean that we will tolerate inappropriate behaviour.
